Description

Known industrially as reinforcement bar, rebar or deformed bar, deformed steel bar is a high tencile iron rod with surface irregularities, as transverse ridges. The ridges are there to improve the bond in foundations and to strengthen the concrete.

Description

Deformed reinforcement bar in coils is produced from plain wire rod in coils in Ø5 to Ø12 mm diameter as per BS 4482:2005 and in compliance of Qatar Construction Standards 2010.

    REBAR CUT & BEND SERIVCES

    Cut & Bend service is one of the prefabrication solutions aimed at helping construction companies raise productivity standards in construction by cutting and bending rebar to exact specifications, ensuring precision and consistency, as well as, conformance to BS 8666. Advantages of cut & bend processing are material wastage reduction and lesser on-site labour requirement. In addition to the above, it helps to ehance utilisation of on-site space, logistics and reduction of inventory on-site.

    Professional review of specifications for commercial, industrial and residential projects. Estimation process starts with structural details of the project. Our engineers study the project and its complexity details and provide detailed estimation about the steel quantity, time required and how differently to execute, factors affecting the quotation. But the most important factor is customer satisfaction.

    We have highly qualified and experienced structural detailing engineers responsible for shop drawings and bar bending schedules (BBS) for our client. We receive structural and architectural IFC drawings from our clients and using state of the art software, we create shop drawings (placing drawing) and BBS. Our engineering team coordinates with the client's Technical Engineers at site to raise and clarify any queries and discrepancies available.

    We also carry out of threading of reinforcing bars, normally carried out for the purpose of achieving mechanical splices. Our tags also show clear sketch of threading and couplers used for that particular bar.

    We create a detailed drawing of projects using the latest AutoCAD 2013 and CADS RC for detailing and Armoar – for preparing Bar Bending Schedules.

    Cut & Bend reinforcements are fabricated in-house from straight bar or coil, utilising state of the art cutting and bending equipment, to meet and exceed customers' requirements.
    All fabrication meets the requirements of either BS4466:1999 or BS8666:2005.
    Material is labelled with a weatherproof cutting tag, according to the Bar Bending Schedule it was issued from.
    We fabricate all shape codes mentioned in BS8666:2005 and also any other special shapes when required.

    Rings, stirrups, dowels, angle bends, specialty work to specification.

    Final project bar is packaged and tagged making the job easier to place.

    When required, our tags also show clear sketch of threading and couplers used for particular bars.

    Coordinated delivery to your job site or pickup from our facilities.
    We have dedicated logistics team, which arranges trucks as per site requirement.

    Upon approval from clients to proceed with fabrication, we contact site engineers and construction managers to schedule the offloading. Normally, we deliver within 2-4 days of approved BBS, but for any urgent orders, fabrication and delivery can be undertaken as per client’s critical deadline.

    Through affiliation with logistics companies, we supervise a fleet of over 90 flatbed units, operated by experienced drivers serving our clients throughout the country. The close communication of Khalifa Steel Industries’ logistics and production departments with our customers and drivers is one of the key factors in achieving consistent on-time performance.
