WELDED WIRE MESH

The efficiency of the Steel Processing Plant for Manufacturing of Welded Reinforcement Wire Mesh, Deformed Wire Rod in Coils and Rebar Cut and bend is determined by the speed of the material handling. Material handling in the shop-floor of Khalifa Steel Industries W.L.L. is carried out through five numbers of overhead cranes having a capacity of 7 tons and 4 numbers of forklifts truck with a capacity of 7 tons.

Welded Wire Steel Mesh/ Reinforcement Mesh

We take the pleasure to introduce ourselves as a professional firm for manufacturing and exporting various kinds of welded wire meshes. Welded wire steel mesh is one of the specialized products of Khalifa Steel Industries W.L.L and is widely specified for a multitude of uses throughout the industry, building construction, agriculture and horticulture.

We will produce square or rectangular mesh reinforcement in flat sheets, manufactured from cold drawn high yield steel wire. Welded wire fabric is manufactured to the international standard on automatic welding machines which assures uniform spacing of wires and cross sectional areas.

The standard size is 2.4mtr x 4.8mtr. Sheets in non standard widths and lengths are also made to order in all types of fabric. Sheets up to 3 meters to 6meter size can be produce. Standard pitch (spacing) size is 200mm x 200mm. Also, we can produce 150mm x 150mm, 100mm x 100mm, 200mm x 100mm and more.

We are producing the wire mesh according to Qatar Construction Standard 2014 (QCS 2014). It will confirm to various national and international standards such as British Standard (BS 4483: 2005, Grade B500B) or American Standard (ASTM A185)

APPLICATIONS AND ADVANTAGES WELDED WIRE STEEL MESH

Applications

In Both above ground and underground construction as well as in precast factories wire mesh is used to reinforce extended areas like floors, walls roads and joints with specially formed bent wire mesh can be used are storage tanks, silos. Concrete pipes or plates floors.

A major area for concern when refurbishing is the restoration of cracked plaster, render, and damaged stone or brickwork. On many occasion, it is impossible to remove existing material to form a key without structural damage.

The application of a layer of welded mesh over the existing surface to provide a mortar reinforcement prior to the final surface coat can often be the answer.

Welded wire steel mesh is ideal for bridge parapet guards on interstates and freeways. It provides a secure barrier in addition to being compatible with other materials used in bridge construction.

Welded wire steel mesh is also used for girder lagging prior to concrete or plastic finishing. Suspended ceilings, shelving systems, window Protection and even earth stabilization.

Guarding and protecting are two areas where mesh is invaluable: safety guards on scaffolding, especially on multi-story blocks; and compounds for the storage of material on-site to provide protection.

Advantages

Wire mesh as reinforcement reduces the project costs and speed up the construction period as opposed to rebar’s as wire mesh is supplied in a ready to place condition and thus time and manpower for steel, bending and tying are saved. Wire mesh is easier and faster to place resulting in reduction of time and cost by 50-80%. Cutting at site is not needed; accordingly, no material loss has to be calculated. The yield strength of wire mesh is higher; therefore, the weight of reinforcing steel is reduced in the range of 40%

Quality

Welded wire steel mesh is manufactured from bright drawn mild steel wire, electrically welded at every intersection. It is produced in self-color (flash copper coating), galvanized after manufacture and PVC coated.
